Howarth

The original Wild’s Bakery was established around 1899, by Annie who ran the bakery shop and a boarding house whilst being a full-time mother to three boys.

Annie and her eldest son John opened a shop in Haworth in the 1920's. It's here they started to build on the heritage of Grandma Wild’s special baking recipes.

In 1928 John bought larger premises near Haworth and this remained the family bakery until the beginning of the new Millennium, when it moved to a new site in Steeton, West Yorkshire.

From these humble beginnings the business has grown in size; however, today’s business holds true to the traditional family values and commitment of its founder.
